Biljana Klekachkoska has been making jewelry for over 26 years. Her eclectic style has made her a pioneer in the new wave for the revitalization of the traditional art of filigree.
Through her work as an artist, entrepreneur and instructor, she has been fully dedicated to growing a nascent culture of jewelry making and metalwork in the Republic of North Macedonia, thus opening the way for other young people to discover their passion for jewelry adornment and technique.
She has recently graduated from Trier University of Applied Sciences in Idar-Oberstein, Germany with a Master’s degree in Gemstones and Jewelry.
Biljana’s lecture will be about her thesis realized for her master’s degree, titled “A Glimpse of the Invisible”.
She describes herself as a jeweler and artist. She works intuitively and organically, telling stories through every jewelry piece she designs inspired by mythology or her own personal experiences. In a society of the ephemeral, enchanted by mass consumption and technology, her work stands out as the unique, intimate and lasting craft of a storyteller.
