THE HOUSE PROJECT
We are staying at home.
Home is our nest, our protection, our company. A space that comes to life through our activities; a sacred space that offers us safety. It is a personal haven, just like our body. The familiarity we feel at home and the intimacy we develop with jewelry become one.
Jewelry functions as an ornament of our home. It gets incorporated, finds a place in it; it opens up a conversation. It takes another dimension: it becomes an extension of our self-home.
Anamma studio presents The House Project, an experimental project which links jewelry, human and home during the pandemic. It is a project-game bringing to mind the process of curating of an exhibition. By combining everyday objects with jewelry, we bring up a multi-faceted narrative framework.
Jewelry tells stories. We meticulously arrange it in the space, we take care of it daily, we observe it and wonder: How is jewelry related to home? Is it possible that it expresses a familiarity and an awareness of the body and space?
So, are we staying at home?
