Founder of Anamma | Jewelry Artist | Tutor

Born in 1983 in Athens/Greece, Anastasia Kandaraki is a jewelry artist, tutor, founder of Anamma Studio and co-founder & former partner of Athens Jewelry Week (AJW).

She holds a Master on Fine Arts in Contemporary Jewelry and Body Ornament from Alchimia Jewelry School in Florence, where she was mentored by the Dutch artist Lucy Sarneel. She has completed a three-year study on Designing and Manufacturing Jewelry in Alchimia Jewelry School in Florence, where, during the third year of her studies, she was mentored by the German artist Manfred Bischoff. She has attended a one-year course on Silversmithing and Jewelry Design in Mokume school in Athens. She also holds a bachelor’s degree on Marketing from the A.T.E.I. of Thessaloniki.

Ever since 2008, she has been attending several conceptual workshops delivered by renowned artists and instructors in the field of contemporary jewelry, such as Peter Bauhuis, Ruudt Peters, Robert Smit, Christoph Zellweger, Jorge Manilla, Evert Nijland, Benjamin Lignel, Marta Mattsson and Iris Bodemer.

Her work has formed part of exhibitions in various countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia.

In 2011, she founded Anamma studio, the first academy of contemporary jewelry in Greece, with the objective to introduce and provide a basic understanding of contemporary art jewelry.

Besides her role as director and instructor at Anamma Studio, she is also the co-founder and a partner of Athens Jewelry Week (AJW) since 2016, the first institution in Greece aspiring to present to the wider public the specifics, diversity and artistic dimension of contemporary jewelry.

Currently, she lives and works in Athens, where she creates, teaches and organizes contemporary jewelry seminars and exhibitions.

Olga Kandaraki

Having grown up in a family of jewelers’ Olga Kandaraki decided, at an early stage of life, to follow the family Business.

In 2000 she graduated from the Department of Business Administration of Athens University of Economic & Business.

During 2000-2001 she studied JEWELRY DESIGN at “LE ARTI ORAFE” Jewelry School in Florence and graduated first in her class.

Since 1994, during her studies in Athens was occupied in the family business “KANDARAKIS” at the sales and marketing department.

After her studies in Florence was occupied also as the business’s designer. During 2003-2012, she also teaches JEWELRY DESIGN (Technical design & rendering) at the “MOKUME” jewelry school, in Athens.

During 2006-2012 starts a collaboration with “ILIAS LALAOUNIS JEWELRY MUSEUM”, offering jewelry design

In 2006, starts to present her own jewelry creations to the public.
She has also participated in two international designing contests.
In 2002, at the “SIGNITY-HOMMAGE 2003”, One of her designs produced by PORTA RASELLI Spa was exhibited in June 2003 at the VICENZAORO fair.

In 2007 participated at the “LE ARTI ORAFE-GANZAM PROJECT” designing a collection o 15 pieces made of Gold 18k, blue topaz and brilliant cut diamond. In 2012, she and her sister Anastasia Kandaraki take charge of the family business, “KANDARAKIS gold & silver workshop”.. Olga starts the jewelry design seminars in ANAMMA. She creates also 4 new jewelry collections made of silver and bronze: “NEW YAER THEME”, “EASTER”, “OMIKRON”, “SYMBOLS”

Dimitris Nikolaidis

Dimitris Nikolaidis

Dimitris Nikolaidis was born in Athens in 1960. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts. During the same period, he dedicated himself to learning the art of silversmithing and gemology, while also working on microsculpture. He is a member of the Hellenic Chamber of Fine Arts.

In 1990, he was awarded with the second prize in the Panhellenic Competition of Artistic Jewelry, organized by The House of Kessaris.
Since 1995, he has been teaching silversmithing techniques, in the light of Fine Arts.

Akis Goumas

Akis Goumas

He was born in 1952. After his diploma in economics ( ΑΣΟΕΕ ) he has been trained as a jeweler for more than 4 years in the workshops of L. Athinotakis and D. Chaniotis .From 1986 he established his workshop and worked as designer – jewelry maker ( goldsmith ).

During 1982-1986 he has studied gemology and gem carving with Mr Lambrinidis and in Idar Oberstein (Rupenthal ). In 1988 for more than a month he has an apprenticeship in Portsmouth College of Art and Design with Jeanne Wedge Hartley.
In 1990 with M. Tsaktanis they establish ONAR AE (Jewelry company ) and he works as the company designer until 2006.
Ιn 2000 he establishes the Chalkis jewelry school in Chalkis School of Art.

In the last 15 years he has participated in more than 30 exhibitions in Greece and other countries.
He is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts and Klimt02 in Spain.
He also has participated in seminars with Lucia Massei ,Peter Bauhuis ,Jorge Manilla and Sharon Cransen.

Since 2017 he collaborates with the ALCHIMIA school of contemporary jewelry in Florence.

Since 2006 he is a member of a group of archaeologists studying and researching prehistoric and ancient metal technologies and gem carving.

He collaborates with National Archaeological museum of Athens ,Museum Benaki and the Museum of Cycladic art. His work is in Benaki museum and Cycladic museum stores.
